Minonk native Valerie Strouse Kalkwarf was part of a team of emergency management personnel ensuring plans are in place in the event of an emergency during the Dubai Airshow 2011. Valerie, who is An Airman from the 380th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron, is the daughter of Bo Hudson and a niece of Wendy Hudson Wilkey, both Minonk residents.
