The Christmas season is quickly approaching. To set your mood for Christmas, come join the Village-Aires for their presentation of "COLOR ME CHRISTMAS." The concerts will be presented on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 7:00 P. M., and Sunday, November 18, 2012 at 3:00 P. M. at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 236 W. 5th St., in Minonk IL.
The Village-Aires will begin their concert with "Yule Be Swingin'", "Christmas Shopping Blues" and other Christmastime favorites to set the mood for this festive season. Come to enjoy the humorous version of "The Twelve Days After Christmas" and some classical arrangements in the "Nutcracker Jingles."
The second half of the concert opens with "Christmastime" and "Not That Far from Bethlehem." The reason for the Christmas season is about the promised Messiah that we sing about in "Have You Seen the Baby," "Jesus, Oh What a Wonderful Child," and "Silent Night, Silent World." Our hearts will be reminded of the wonderful gift God has given to the world in "Rejoice," "For Unto Us a Child Is Born," and "Hallelujah."
Open the season of Christmas in your heart. Plan to attend the 45th Village-Aires Fall Concert on November 17th or 18th.
