Minonk Drainage Plan to be Presented October 19

Tuesday, October 13, 2009 - Posted 9:42:27 AM by City Administrator Doug Elder
Minonk City Engineer, Robert Kohlhase, of the Farnsworth Group will make a special presentation at the City Council meeting on Monday, October 19. Mr. Kohlhase will give an overview of the future master plan for correcting drainage and storm water problems in Minonk.

The most recent step in addressing Minonk’s drainage problems was the construction of major storm sewer improvements in spring 2009. In addition to that project, the City Council commissioned the Farnsworth Group to conduct a city-wide study and develop a master plan for additional storm water and sewer improvements. The Farnsworth Group documented problem areas in the city that are prone to drainage problems, particular in times of heavy rainfall, by conducting onsite visits and gathering feedback from residents.

Residents are encouraged to attend the presentation at 7:00 pm at Minonk City Hall, 670 N. Chestnut, to learn about the future improvements that are being planned.
