The Energy Star Replacement Appliance Rebate Program gives a 15-percent instant rebate (up to $250) on qualified refrigerators, freezers, washing machines and dishwashers for customers who certify that the purchased machine is a replacement for an existing unit.

The rebate is available Friday, September 24 and will only last as long as funds are available. Previous rebate programs ran out of funds on the first day of the program. Approximately $3 million will be available for this final round of rebates.

“This is a great opportunity for consumers to replace older, inefficient appliances and to save money immediately and throughout the appliance’s lifespan,” Sen. Rutherford said. “I strongly encourage those interested to look into this offer and act immediately to get the rebate while it’s available.”
