Local 4H club boasts 6 Grand Champions!

The Woodford County 4H Fair was held July 26-28, 2005 in Eureka, and Minonk's 4H club "Successful Farmers" were one many clubs that were in attendance.  The club, led by Kimmel Jenkins and Christina Jenkins, report great success at this years fair.  Fifty percent of the club sent 46 projects to the fair for judging.  Of those numbers 6 projects received the Grand Champion plaque, 1 Reserve Grand Champion, and one project was sent to the State Fair. 

Club results in alphabetical order:

Christalynn Jenkins-  8 Blue Ribbons, 3 Purple Ribbons, plaques presented for Grand Champion Dog Care, and Grand Champion Visual Arts Paper.  (*The Paper Mache was also sent to the Illinois State Fair where it received a Superior rating on August 12.) 

Kenneth Jenkins- 8 Blue Ribbons.

Miranda Jenkins- 8 Blue Ribbons, 2 Purple Ribbons, plaques presented for Grand Champion Dog Costume and Grand Champion Cat Care. 

Shary Jenkins- 4 Blue Ribbons, 1 Red Ribbon.

Garrett Mattox- 1 Blue Ribbon

Mackenzie Mattox- 1 Blue Ribbon

Cyleste Montgomery- 3 Blue Ribbons, 1 Purple Ribbon, plaque presented for Grand Champion Special Project Chickens.

Decker Montgomery- 1 Blue Ribbon, 1 Purple Ribbon

KaTesa Montgomery- 2 Blue Ribbons, ribbon for Reserve Grand Champion Pigeons.

Saireena Montgomery- 2 Blue Ribbons, 1 Red Ribbon, 1 Purple Ribbon, plaque presented for Grand Champion Small Pets.

Mary Szynalski- 3 Blue Ribbons.

Kristen VonNordheim- 3 Blue Ribbons, 1 Red Ribbon, 1 Purple Ribbon.
