Musical entertainment has been added to the list of activities taking place this week at the Minonk Days summerfest.   A Summer Songfest will be held at St. Paul's UCC Church  at 236 W. 5th Street on Friday evening, August 19, at 7:00 p.m.  The program will feature the Village-Aires and the Claire Street Four.  Other acts include a piano solo by Elaine Cunningham, vocal solos by Russ McCulley and Jay Hurd, a vocal duet with Jim and Beverly Meyer and an old fashioned Sing-a-long.

Jim Markum's Swing & Dixieland Band will perforn on Sunday, August 21, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Westside Park.  The concert will be followed by a church service at 5:00 pm.  The Jim Markum Band put on a great show at the dedication of the Westside Park Pavilion last summer and promises to provide a wonderful show again this year.

Everyone is encouraged to get out and attend the many events of Minonk Days that will take place from Thursday,  August 18, through Sunday, August 21.  For a list of the many events, click here.
