Listed below are the primary areas identified for drainage problems in Minonk.  This report was compiled by The Farnsworth Group, engineers for the City of Minonk and presented to the City Council at its July 6th meeting.

Area A* - Located south of 4th Street between Johnson and Lincoln in a farm field. Area is "bowl" shaped and causes flooding and property damage for adjacent residents.

Area 8* - Located north of 7th Street between Walnut and Lincoln. Area is prone to flooding during storm events causing property damage to adjacent residents.

Area C* - Located on Elm Court. Area is prone to minor flooding. Existing drainage tile for area is damaged and collapsing.

Area D - Located on west end of 5th Street in Tjaden Subdivision. Property owner reported sump pump is running constantly during wet periods. A bigger issue is sewer drain in basement requires plugging otherwise backs into basement during big rains.

Area E - Located between west end 5th Street and Jefferson Street. Property owners report that stagnant water collects during short periods of time in open lot.

Area F - Located west of alley west of Jefferson Street. Area is prone to flooding and stagnant water.

Area G - Located north of 9th Street on Washington Street. Area is prone to surcharging causing access problems for residents on west side of Washington Street while system catches up.

Area H - Located north of 4th Street on Walnut Street. Area is prone to surcharging causing stagnant water for short periods of time.

Area I - Located north of 4th Street and east of Mary Street. Area is prone to surcharging and stagnant water while system catches up.

Area J - Located east of Short Street and south of 3rd Street. Area is prone to surcharging and stagnant water while system catches up.
