Fieldcrest High School was recently presented a check from Sheryl Los of Geiser Ford, for the "Drive One 4ur School" event held in April. The dealership worked with the Fieldcrest Renaissance group to help raise money to offset costs incurred during the school year for the recognition and incentive programs the group oversees. The check presented was written for $5960. "We are proud to have Geiser on our team," said Bill Lapp, Fieldcrest Principal.
This is the second year Geiser has worked with the school on the fundraiser. Money is raised through the test drives that community members take during the event. $20 per test drive is given for each test taken, up to 300 total drives. "Only one member from each address or household is allowed, so that tells you how many people from the community helped us. 298 drivers is a bunch. We thank everyone who helped," said Lapp. The group is already working with Geiser Ford on a date for next year.
