Black Partridge Honors JAC Winner

The Black Partridge Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution honored their Junior American Citizen (JAC) winner, the new members, and the perspective member at their June meeting. Sierra Bullard, daughter of Jim and Angie Bullard of Washington, IL, received the following awards for her poster entry, first at state for the fifth-grade entries, first at North Central Division, and second at the National level. The theme for this year was "The 50th Anniversary of the Lunar Landing-America's Great Move Forward in Exploration and Technology". Kenda Bond, the state JAC Chairman from Washington, IL, presented her with her awards.

Our new members include Karen Schaal from Washington, IL, Kimberly Cooley from Washington, IL, Suzanne Rose from Morton, IL, and Mary Damer from Berea, OH, and a perspective member, Amy Blankenship from Washington, IL.

The officers for the 2019-2020 year are Regent Valerie Horton, Vice Regent Karen Ghighi, Chaplain Kenda Bond, Secretary Nancy Bullard, Treasurer Melissa Friedlund, Registrar Debra Lammers and assistant Karen Schaal, Historians Mary Kay Harms and Jari Lynn Oncken, and Librarian Charlene Kimpler.
