The public is invited to attend Memorial Day services on Monday, May 26, at 10:00 a.m. at the Fieldcrest High School gym.  The name of war veterans will be read at the ceremony and there will be a guest speaker.

Volunteers are needed to help put marker flags on the tombstones of veterans in the Minonk Township Cemetery and St. Patrick's Cemetery on Thursday.  Anyone interested in helping should show up at the Minonk Township Cemetery at 2:30 pm on Thursday, May 22, or contact Melvin Matter.

Volunteers will also be putting name markers on Civil War tombstones whose names have worned off.  In other news, the American Legion donated $100 to the Meals on Wheels program.
