Upon recommendation of the
Planning and Zoning Board, the final plats for the annexation, subdivision and
rezoning of Section 6 will be presented to City Council on Monday night as well
as much of the other required legal paperwork that must be and has been
completed.
This will give the City full
control over what is developed on the “landfill property” owned by Waste
Management.
This will be a huge step in
the process for the raceway developers.
Failure to get zoning board approval is what halted their development in
Peoria County.
The rezoning will allow for the development of the racetracks.
The process was delayed but we are now back
“on track”.
