Illinois Valley Air Show, Inc. and Mautino Distributing announce the Second Annual Illinois Valley Air Show on Saturday, June 17 and Sunday, June 18, 2006 at the Illinois Valley Regional Airport in Peru, IL. This exciting show will include performances by Dave Burdine and his Mig-17 Jet Fighter, Bob Davis and the Sukoi SU-29, The Aerostars Formation Team and many others.  Saturday’s show will also include a fly-over by an Air Force B-2 Bomber (contingent on real world mission requirements).

Bigger and better than last year’s show, with an improved sound system and Jim Faber as the announcer, this promises to be a great weekend of family entertainment. The gates open at 10:00 am each day with the show beginning around 1:00 pm.  The current schedule calls for the B-2 to fly over between 1:30 and 2:00 on Saturday.

“This show has a great line-up” according to Mike Maloney, President of American Air Shows, the show’s promoter. “We’ve put on a lot of air shows, but this is going to be one of the best. The City of Peru is a great host for this type of event.” Along with Mautino Distributing, the air show sponsors include Oak State Products, Amcore Bank, I.V. Community Hospital, LaSalle County Tourism Bureau, Leone Polaris, and many others.

Saturday night will feature a Hangar Party from 6:00 to 10:00 with music by “The Crowd” and performances by The Aerostars and Dave Modder’s Jet Powered Dragster.

Tickets are $10 at the gate and $8 in advance. Children under 12 are free. Admission to the Saturday night Hangar Party is only $5. See our website, www.illinoisvalleyairshow.com for a list of advance ticket sale outlets.

Plane rides in a DC-3 will be available before and after the show. Balloon rides will be available Friday and Saturday evenings and Saturday and Sunday mornings. Helicopter rides will be available all day Saturday and Sunday. Food and beverages will be available along with displays by local area businesses.
