It is time to tune in your radio and hear the Village-Aires spring concert as they present “On the Air with the Village-Aires.”  The concerts will be presented on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, May 2, 2010 at 3 p.m.  The two concerts will take place at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 236 W. 5th St., in Minonk, IL. There will be no intermission.  Tickets purchased in advance are $5.00 for adults.  At the door they are $6.00.  Student tickets are $2.00.  

The Village-Aires special radio station will be WLTS AM (We Love To Sing All Music.)  As the concert is presented you will travel around the United States and hear music from different parts of the country.  They will start on the east coast as they sing “Lady of the Harbor.”  One stop will be the radio station in Nashville where you will hear “Daddy Sang Bass,”  “Grandpa,” and “I Swear.”  On the west coast you will listen to the tunes of “Hooray for Hollywood” and “Best of the Beach Boys.”  The last stop will be patriotic songs “This is My Country” and “There She Stands.”  

 It is time to mark your calendars now for the spring concert “On The Air with the Village-Aires.”
