Remember the good ole days when you watched “The Muppet Show” or “The Ed
Sullivan Show?” The Village-Aires will present their spring concert “Don’t
Touch That Dial” as they remember some of these earlier TV shows . The concerts
will be on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 7 p.m. and on Sunday, May 1, 2011 at 3
p.m. The concerts will take place at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 236 W.
5th St., in Minonk, IL. You may use the door off the parking lot or the front
door to enter the building. The building is handicap accessible. There will be
no intermission.
Tickets purchased in advance from members are $5.00 for
adults. At the door they are $6.00. Student tickets are $2.00.
The
Village-Aires will sing songs from “The Muppet Show” that include “Do Wah Diddy
Diddy” and “Take Me Home Country Roads.” Kermit, Jack Jochums, will also be
making an appearance. You will hear “Let Me Be There” and “That’s What Friends
Are For” from the Carol Burnett Show. “He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother” and
“And So It Goes” were songs on “The Donny and Marie Show.” Donny, Jay Hurd,
and Marie, Niki Bohler, will also be singing a song. One of the songs from
“The Ed Sullivan Show” will be “Elvis: Pure Gold.”

your tickets, sit back, relax, and remember these good oldies as the
Village-Aires present “Don’t Touch That Dial.”
