Mayor Bill Koos was re-elected as Mayor of Minonk with an overwhelming 625 - 166 victory over challenger Brian Petersen.  It is the first time in modern memory that a Minonk mayor has been elected twice in a row in a contested election.

In the only contested alderman race, John Hill defeated Matthew Roth, 268 to 77, in Ward 2.  In Ward 1 Larry Fortner won an uncontested race as did Keri Carls in Ward 3.

In another landslide victory, Wayne Weber defeated Corey Ruestman, 638 - 239, for Minonk Township Road Commissioner.   The remaining township races were uncontested as James Meyer was re-elected Minonk Township Supervisor.  Richard Luckey was re-elected Township Clerk.  Ron Seggerman, Roger Janssen, and Alan Rients were re-elected as Township Trustees and Larry Miles was newly elected.

Jerry Barth and Danny Cirks won uncontested contests for Minonk Fire Department Trustees.

Hi I think what dogwatcher means is that very few people know what is really happening in this town.

Congratulations to Bill Koos, Wayne Weber and John Hill. The spread in the vote totals tells a the story of the people's understanding of what is happening in this city.
