Repairs started on fire damaged wall of Minonk Foods

 Workers are repairing the south wall of the Minonk Foods Grocery store which was damaged during the great fire of October 26, 2011. McClure Construction of Roanoke laid block on the west end of the wall to even out the wall and are in the process of tuck pointing and repairing other parts of the brick wall.
General contractor on the job is Meierhofer Construction who will put stucco on the wall and then paint it to give it a finished appearance.
Minonk Foods owner Max Patel said he would like to paint a sign on the wall when it is finished to advertise the store.
The picture below shows the block laid on top of the brick to finish off the wall at the west end.
