DAR Good Citizen award announced at Fieldcrest HS

Fieldcrest High School's DAR Good Citizen winner is Philip Rinehart. Philip is the son of Mike and Carol Rinehart, Toluca, Illinois. The Black Partridge Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution sponsor the 2012 DAR Citizenship/Scholarship Program for the high schools in Woodford County. Philip will be honored at a Ceremony on February 13, 2012 at the Crossroads United Methodist Church in Washington, Illinois.
Philip was selected by the FHS faculty and students because he has demonstrated the qualities of Dependability (which includes truthfulness, loyalty, and punctuality); Service (which includes cooperation, courtesy, and consideration of others); Leadership (which includes personality, self-control, and ability to assume responsibility); and Patriotism (which includes unselfish interest in family, school, community and nation).
Philip has participated in several extracurricular activities during his four years at Fieldcrest High School. He has been participated in Golf team, four years; Key Club, four years; National Honor Society, two years; Philip's leadership roles have included: National Honor Society President, Class Officer for two years, Senior Steering Committee and Philip has been extremely active in church youth activities in a leadership role, as well as participating on missions trip.
Philip plans to attend Butler University or Drake University and earn a doctorate in pharmacy.
