Ruth Park feted at 100th birthday celebration

Over 180 people attended a reception for Ruth Park in observance of her 100th birthday which will occur on February 7th. Mrs. Park's daughter Bonnie Wagner and her children organized the reception in the basement of St. Paul's Church. Guests came as far away as North Carolina and Tennessee. Cake and drinks were served at the reception. Below are pictures of some of those who attended the reception. The pictures were taken by Ruth's nephew James Weistart of Rochester, IL.  John Weistart of Raleigh, NC and his brother James Weistart of Rochester, IL pose with Ruth. Both are nephews of Ruth.  Ruth's cousin Robert Barth and his daughter Jerri Sue Johnson of rural Minonk join Ruth. Robert will also be 100 years old later this year.  Here with Ruth is her daughter Bonnie Wagner to her left. The others are Bonnie's children and their spouses. To the right of Ruth is Bonnie's daughter Kim Turner.
