Washington,
D.C. – Congressman Adam Kinzinger
(IL-11), recently announced the dates of his first seven town halls of the
112th legislative session across the Eleventh Congressional District.
The town hall meetings are just one means of a series of ways Kinzinger intends
to provide constituents with an open and direct line of communication to their
federal government on major issues affecting Eleventh District Illinoisans. One of the first town hall meetings will be held in Minonk's City Hall at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 29.
Kinzinger released
the following statement about the upcoming town halls:
“In just a few
short weeks, my colleagues and I have been hard at work to implement policies
that will cut spending, create jobs, and grow the economy. We are a nation in
crisis, and we have a lot of work to do.
“It’s important
that we are all able to maintain respect for different viewpoints during these
town halls. However, one thing we can all agree on is that we are worried about
the future of our nation. I look forward to coming together in civil forums and
listening to the thoughts, ideas and concerns from constituents about ways to
get our country back on track.
“Accessibility and
service to residents of the Eleventh District is our office’s top priority. My
staff and I stand eager to listen and aid constituents in whatever way we can.
We are committed to taking care of the people of the Eleventh
District.”
