Clearing the cache for your browser

Periodically, the MinonkTalk website is shut down for maintenance in which case you will get a message saying the website is temporarily down. Some of our viewers called a day later and asked when the website is coming back up even though it was down for only an hour or so. This often happens when the latest webpage hasn't changed and your browser will pull up an "older" version stored in what we call the cache, which is just an area where previous web pages are stored. Therefore, if you feel the latest web page is not being pulled up, you must delete the entries in your cache by doing the following:
For Internet Explorer browsers: Click on the Tools item at the top of your browser and then click on 'Delete browsing history'. Then make a check mark on 'Temporary internet files' and then click the 'Delete button at the bottom of the dialog.
For Firefox browsers: Click on the Tools menu item at the top and then click on 'Clear recent history'. Then check the 'Cache' box and then click the 'Clear Now' button at the bottom.
For Chrome browsers: Click on the triple bar icon at the extreme right top of the browser and then click on 'History' from the drop down menu. Then click the 'Clear browsing data' button at the upper left of the new window. Then click on the 'Empty the cache' check box in the next window and then click on the 'Clear browsing data button'.
