Nan Johnson Livingston
Williams died in her sleep on August 12, 2008 in the San Antonio Methodist Hospital at the age of 86. She was born
and raised in Grayville Illinois. After WWII she married her high
school sweetheart Robert G. Livingston of Minonk Illinois, son of Tom and Mildred
Livingston. Robert G Livingston died suddenly in 1967. She married Carl Wilson
Williams in 1970 and they lived together in Mathis Texas for 39 years. She
was passionate about her family, work as a pianist, and work as a choir
director. Nan is survived by three children; Greg Livingston and Mary “Ted”
Livingston Moorman of San Antonio, Texas and son Jon Livingston of San Marcos, Texas. She has 10 grandchildren and 5 great
grandchildren.
Her favorite Bible
verse was:
“For His anger is but
for a moment, but His favor is for a lifetime; Weeping may last for
the night, But a shout of joy
comes in the morning.” Psalm 30:5
Her funeral was held at
the Dobie Funeral Home on August 16th in Mathis Texas
The Grave Side Service
was on August 19th at the Davidson Cemetery officiated by Rev. Richard
Olson
