Obituary: Bonna Jo "Bonnie" Tucker, 88 - May 19, 2017
Bonna Jo "Bonnie" Tucker, 88, of Minonk, passed away at 11:58 p.m. Friday (May 19, 2017) at Heritage Manor, Minonk.

Bonna Jo was born Sept. 23, 1928, southeast of Minonk in Minonk Township, Woodford County, to John and Helen Tena (Ioerger) Manninga. She married Rowland H. Tucker Jr. on Dec. 8, 1946, in Minonk. He died May 20, 2016, in Minonk. She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving are one sister, Lee Ora Osborn, Bloomington; three nieces, Laura (Paul) Wilewski, Downers Grove; Anita (David) Seiler, Champaign, and their children Camden and Leah; Pamela (Robert) Zweibel, Powell, Ohio; one nephew, David (Christine) Punke, Eureka, and their children Jason Douglas and Laura Marie.

Bonnie attended Jefferson (County) Grade School, west of Minonk, and graduated from Minonk Community High School in 1946.

Bonnie was a member of St. Paul's Church, Minonk, where she was both confirmed and married. She was a charter member of Yankee Town Home Extension and a member of Matrons Club. Bonnie was employed as a bookkeeper at Minonk Plumbing and Heating and also worked at Minonk Country Florist. She enjoyed working with her yard and many flowers. She also enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing for many years in Wisconsin, doing crafts and visiting with all her friends when she and her husband went out for evening meals.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Minonk Township Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home, Minonk, is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heritage Manor, Minonk, or Minonk Ambulance Fund.
