Obituary

Ruth Timmerman, 97, of Minonk, IL passed away at 6:29 p.m. on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at her residence.

Ruth was born on June 16, 1920 in rural Minonk, IL a daughter of Henry and Philipina Barth Kettwich. She married Gus Timmerman on July 25, 1941 in Minonk, IL. He passed away on August 31, 1971.Surviving are three sons, David Timmerman of Minonk; Jim Timmerman of Flanagan; Ron Timmerman of Carlock; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Clarence and three sisters, Kathryn, Minnie and Mabel.

Ruth worked at the Good Samaritan Home in Flanagan for 15 plus years.

Ruth was a lifelong and very active member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Minonk.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at the St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Minonk. Pastor Ed Sinclair will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday. Burial will be in the Minonk Township Cemetery. Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Minonk is handling arrangements for the family.
