Stephen R. Stillwell, 76 - February 25, 2015

Stephen R. Stillwell, age 76, of Bourbonnais, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.

He was born July 9, 1938 in Morris, IL, the son of William Herman & Mineola Mattingly Stilwell. He married Zenovia L.M. Hall July 20, 1963 in Braidwood.

Stephen was a master electrician at Armstrong and retired after 43 years of service. He was also a published author and wrote a trilogy of mystery books. He also wrote poetry and short stories. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army. Stephen was known for his sense of humor.

Surviving are his wife, Zenovia Stillwell of Bourbonnais; three children, Annette & Steven Wisniewski of Gurnee, Michele & Bryan Beaupre of Bourbonnais, and Richard & Shawna Stillwell of Minonk; six grandchildren, Alexander Wisniewski, Ethan Wisniewski, Sean Beaupre, Nicole Beaupre, Desaray Stillwell, and LeeAnn Stillwell; one sister, Maxine Roberts of Joliet; and one brother, James Stilwell of Salem.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Eva and Marie; and one brother, Ernest.

Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2015 at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Bourbonnais, where funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2015. Rev. Todd Peeler will officiate the service. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Bourbonnais. Memorials may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation (http://www.parkinson.org/).
