Gail L. Spencer, 56, of Minonk, died at 10:38 p.m. Friday (Oct. 10, 2014) at her home.

Her funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Calvert-Johnson & Froelich Memorial Home, Minonk, with the Rev. Richard Olson officiating. Burial will be in Baughman Cemetery, rural Minonk. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Tuesday until time of service at the memorial home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family, care of Stephanie Spencer.

Gail was born Sept. 7, 1958, in Albuquerque, N.M., the daughter of Lorine and Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Hutchcraft Allen.

Surviving are three children, Chad Nelson, Florida; Sonya and Stephanie Spencer, both of Minonk; one brother, Roger (Gene) Allen, Waterflow, N.M.; two sisters, Karen (Steve) Schoonover, Red Oak, Texas; and Kim (David) Widmer, Washington; one aunt, Iona Kessler, Washington; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Dwayne Farrell Nelson; and one brother, Thomas David Allen.

Gail had worked as a CNA and a housekeeper. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed swinging on her swing, gardening and growing flowers. She had a green thumb. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
