Ronald Seggerman, 77

 Ronald "Ron" Seggerman, 77, of Minonk, passed away at 5:30 p.m. Thursday (May 26, 2016) at his home.
He was born Jan. 13, 1939, in Streator, a son of Raymond and Elizabeth Johnson Seggerman. He married Sally Klendworth on June 5, 1959, in Minonk. She survives.
Survivors also include two sons, Mike (Kelly) Seggerman and Craig (Linda) Seggerman, both of Minonk; and five grandsons, Wade Seggerman, Chicago; Adam (Kelsey) Seggerman, Atlanta; Collin (fiancee, Taylor) Seggerman, rural Rutland; and Evan Seggerman and Jared Seggerman, both of Minonk. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Minonk. He graduated from Minonk-Dana-Rutland High School in 1957 and was engaged in farming until retirement in 2015. He served on the Minonk Township Board for 42 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Shriners and the Consistory. Ron enjoyed watching his grandsons in their activities and collecting cast iron farm toys.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home, Minonk. Pastor Ed Sinclair will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home, Minonk, and one hour before services Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Minonk Township Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Minonk Food Pantry or Shriners Hospital for Children.
