Emily Schneider, 96, of Minonk passed away at 11:18 p.m. Friday (June 20, 2008) at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Minonk, where she had been a resident.

She was born on Aug. 19, 1911, in Minonk, to John and Rose Hindert Schneider.

She is survived by four brothers, Louis (Dorothy) Schneider of Flanagan, U.J. (Ruth) Schneider of Minonk, Jim Schneider of Benson, and Frank (Mabel) Schneider of Paradox, Colo.; several nieces, nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Bud, Zip, Ollie, Leland; and one sister, Mary.

Emily graduated from the St. Joseph School of Nursing, where she had received her RN degree.

She was a member of the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Minonk, where she had been active in the Altar and Rosary Society.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Minonk. Father Luke Poczworowski will officiate. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday before the service at the church. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Minonk, is in charge of arrangements.
