Gladys M. Meinhold, 96, formerly of Wenona, passed away Sunday (Dec. 9, 2018) at Autumn Leaves Memory Care, Arlington Heights.

She was born Feb. 12, 1922, in Minonk, a daughter of Henry and Lena Falk May. She married Harold F. Meinhold on Dec. 5, 1941, in Minonk. He died Sept. 14, 2013, in Ottawa. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters.

Surviving are her children, Janis (John Jr.) Felver, Bonita Springs, Fla.; Vaun (Christine) Meinhold, Streator; Jane Meinhold, River Forest; one sister, Alvina Ford, West Salem, Wis.; eight grandchildren, Wendy (Brett) Harris, Kori (Mark) Hibner, Tyson (Shannon) Meinhold, Lance (Tiffany) Meinhold, Trent (Jessica) Felver, Adam (Rebekah) Goldberg, Aaron Goldberg, Joanna Goldberg; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Minonk and former Sunday school teacher.

Her funeral will be private at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home, Minonk. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in the Minonk Township Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
