Obituary

Michael M. "Spyder" McNamara, 63, of Minonk passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, April 19, 2017.

He was born in Minonk to Raymond and Kathryn Davis McNamara. He married Regenna Lindberg on October 26, 1987, in Lincoln County, Missouri. Michael is survived by his wife of 30 years, Regenna; a daughter, Kathryn (Daniel) Knight of Toluca; and his first grandchild to be born in August. Also surviving are his siblings, Anne McNamara of Chicago, Kathy McNamara of Washington, Mark (Julie) McNamara of Minonk, Ray (Deb) McNamara of Southlake, TX, and Steve McNamara of Minonk; and his stepmother, Mary Knoll McNamara of Minonk. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and friends.

Mike loved his family and was extremely proud of his wife and daughter. He retired from Caterpillar in 2003 after 30 years. He was the most loving, caring man, and although life gave him multiple hardships, you could never tell with his positive outlook on life.

Visitation will be on Saturday, April 22, 2017, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Calvert-Johnson & Froelich Memorial Home, in Minonk. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 10:30 a.m. at the memorial home, with the Rev. Dana Jumper officiating. Burial will be in Minonk Township Cemetery.
