Obituary: Patricia Dawn Kruger, 81 - September 15, 2018
Patricia Dawn Kruger, 81, of Good Samaritan Home, Pontiac, formerly of Minonk and Flanagan, died at 4:30 p.m. Saturday (Sept. 15, 2018) at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 9 to 11 a.m. at St. Petri Lutheran Church, Flanagan. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Pastor William Callister will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Petri Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Petri Lutheran Church. Calvert-Johnson & Froelich Memorial Home, Flanagan, is in charge of arrangements.

Patricia was born July 11, 1937 in Logan, Kan., to Fredrick and Louise (Bailey) Schick. She married Rev. Ronald L. Kruger on May 22, 1954 in Logan, Kan. He preceded her in death on Jan. 19, 1996.

Surviving are her children, Timothy (Ranelle) Kruger, of Flanagan, Thomas (Barbara) Kruger, of Minonk, Todd (Lynda) Kruger, of Gridley and Troy (Cheri) Kruger, of Pontiac; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; her siblings, Colman Schick, of Chicago, Becky Bean, of Mc Pherson, Kan., Lavon (Sheryl) Schick, of Carbondale, Kan., Carol (Ira) Dodds, Dixie (Ed) Geary, of Lebo, Kan., Lynn (Ken) Calhoon, of Bartlesville, Okla., Lila (Dick) Hamit, of Overbrook, Kan., Robin (Judy) Schick, of Lebo, Kan. and Max (Norma) Schick, of Phillipsburg, Kan.

Her parents; one son, Terry Kruger; and one brother, Alvin, preceded her in death.

Patricia was a minister's wife, serving alongside her husband in many roles in the church, working in the office, helping with confirmation classes, being part of the Mission Society and the Woman of the ELCA. Her biggest job was a homemaker and raising her family.
