CARLOCK -- Gary M. Fischer, 59, of Carlock died at 3 p.m. Thursday (Dec. 1, 2005) at his residence.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Immanuel LutheranChurch, Minonk, the Rev. Craig Swenson officiating. Cremation will beaccorded with burial of ashes in Minonk Township Cemetery following theservice.

Arrangements are being handled by Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home, El Paso.

Gary was born on May 5, 1946, in Streator, a son of Ernest and Ida Claude Fischer.

Survivors include Barbara Coleman of El Paso; two aunts, Ruby Carls ofFlanagan, and Grace (Dale) Haning of Peoria; an uncle, Kenneth(Shirley) McCormick of Washington; and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

An U.S. Army veteran, he served during the Vietnam War and worked at the Veterans Administration as a counselor for 20 years.

He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Minonk.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
