Obituary: Bernice Louise Anderson, 93 - May 10, 2018
Bernice Louise Anderson, 93, of Minonk, passed away at 10:22 p.m. Thursday (May 10, 2018) at OSF HealthCare St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.

She was born July 24, 1924, in Minonk, to Frederick and Katie Timmerman Von Behren. She married Quinton C. Anderson on March 6, 1945, in Spokane, Wash.

Surviving are her children, one son, James (Kitty) Anderson, Washburn; two daughters, Linda Muzzy and Jayne Harms, both of Minonk; seven grandchildren, Matthew Anderson, Craig Anderson and Kevin Anderson; Donald Muzzy Jr.; Jennifer (Chris) Froman; Kimberly Cook; Nathan Cook; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, William, Delbert and Donald; two sisters, Adalia Pescitelli and Helen Kemnitz; and one granddaughter, Melissa Knoll.

Bernice worked as a lining trimmer for more than 50 years at Toluca Garment Factory, retiring in 2004. She was a member and regular donor of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Minonk. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and sewing, jigsaw puzzles and being out in her own yard gardening. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, especially the babies.

Her graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Minonk Township Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home, Minonk. Memorials made in Bernice's name may be made to St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Minonk.
