The MInonk City Council approved an engineering agreement with the Farnsworth Group for $126,500 at their normal Monday night meeting. The agreement includes surveying and other engineering work for the 2010 Storm Sewer Project. Below is the breakdown of the cost.
- Construction permitting and easements - $7100
- Surveying, design, meetings and project management - $55,000
- Bidding services contract documents - $7100
- Construction staking - $9500
- Full time construction observation and record drawings - $46,000
- City sewer base map update - $1800
In other business, the council approved Ordinance 2010-08 to amend the City's FMLA policies and approved Ordinance 2010-09 to amend the Minonk City Code to remedy scrivener's errors.
City Administrator Doug Elder said maintenance has been completed on the city water tower. Workers installed an interior ladder to the tower. In addition, the water tower interior was washed out and is in the process of being refilled - an operation that will take 2 days. Once refilled, water samples will be taken and sent in for testing. Plans are for the water tank to go back online by Thursday.
