The Minonk City Council approved a resolution to exercise an option to purchase Section 6 from Waste Management.  This was the final step to be taken in the deal in which the City purchases Section 6 and then sells the land to H & H Farms of Plano for $2,826,100.  Mayor Koos said the closing of the sale and exchange of money will probably take place within the next two weeks. 

In other business Alderman Fortner said the meetings for the Parks and Recreation Committee was changed to take place on the 4th Sunday of each month.  Also, Rich Luckey was named to the Parks and Recreation Board.

Mayor Koos gave a big congratulations to the Fieldcrest basketball team for their undefeated season and the winning of the Regional Tournament.
