Westside City Park

This early 1900's photo of Minonk's Westside Park shows a lot of young elm trees. These trees were lost to the Dutch Elm Disease that ravished the country in the 1950's. In the early days the park was a cow pasture and was referred to as Sangster's Frog Pond after Alderman Sangster.
