Chocolate Shop counter

This is a photo of the soda fountain at the Chocolate Shop run by Bob Morrison near the corner of Fifth and Chestnut back in the 1930's and 40's. Melvin Liner took over the Chocolate Shop in 1950 and the site is now the location of the Meyer-Jochums Insurance Agency.

The Chocolate Shop was a favorite gathering for fans after a basketball game. Many times the cheerleaders would lead cheers in the aisles to the delight of the customers enjoying their chocolate soda or sundae after the game.
